Facade trends 2024.
Materials that reign supreme in modern construction.

The façade today acts as the business card of our home and, for many, is the business card of ourselves. Everyone tries to choose their wardrobe, take care of their appearance, choose the colour of their car to match their personality. We try to make our home simply beautiful. Choosing materials for the façade of a house today is much more than deciding on the colour of the plaster. Today, the market offers a wide range of solutions for modern buildings, which is not surprising as the façade acts as a showcase for ourselves and our home. It is therefore worth considering which materials will provide us with durable and timeless quality, as well as a beautiful and modern aesthetic effect that will not fade away like temporary trends.

In the past, a pragmatic approach prevailed when building a house, where price and quick availability at the DIY store were the main considerations. Today, however, more and more attention is being paid to details, aesthetics, composition and harmony with the surroundings. Pastel or bright colours are gradually giving way to muted, natural shades that will remain fashionable for years to come. We try to look at the façade as ourselves by taking care of every detail of our dress. Investors are increasingly choosing products that not only provide safety and comfort, but also allow for an original effect that reflects their individual character.

Currently, when designing the façade, we are increasingly relying on creative and unique solutions, treating it on an equal footing with other elements of the project. Contemporary projects allow us to distinguish three main trends.

Firstly, industrial modernity.

Increasingly, house facades are being designed with materials that give them a raw look. What once seemed shocking is now considered a symbol of modernity and elegance. Bricks and façade tiles combined with raw materials are gaining popularity in sophisticated compositions. Covering the entire body of the building with bricks or façade tiles with an irregular texture, such as the long façade tile, which emphasises the industrial and avant-garde character, has the effect of giving the façade an elegant and modern character.

The second trend is simplicity and minimalism.

Smooth and uniform finishes are no longer associated with boredom; on the contrary, minimalism is becoming synonymous with luxury. In order to make our home stand out, it is worth investing in the highest quality materials to create an elegant, yet form-saving architecture. Such an effect can be achieved, for example, by choosing a long facade tile in beige or grey tones in raw concrete, dolomite or sandstone.

The third trend is uniqueness and personalisation.

It is becoming increasingly popular to mix different materials, textures and colours on façades to create an individual and original effect. In this trend, long façade tiles with structured textures and colours, GRC concrete panels, structured plasters, large-format quartz sinter panels, exotic wood or embossed aluminium panels are ideal for creating a unique visual effect. An example of such products are the MaxBerg long facade bricks, which offer dozens of colours, offer the possibility of different variants and ways of laying, have unique face structures and allow unlimited creativity in design in different styles and types of buildings. They can be laid with or without joints, which is an added advantage and allows even more unique effects to be achieved.

The one and only, i.e. the facade of the long facade brick.

Ceramic brick, which has been prized for its natural origin for centuries, today offers an extremely wide range of colours and textures. It also has the advantage that it can be laid in a variety of ways and that joints of different thicknesses and colours can be used, making it possible to create unique mosaics and realise even the most daring architectural designs. Choosing a clinker façade is also an investment in the durability of a building.

Clinker bricks are characterised by their longevity, ageing nobly and requiring minimal maintenance. Despite the passage of years, they do not lose their colours or change colour. They are frost resistant, non-combustible and protect the building against the spread of fire. Their high weather resistance is particularly valuable for buildings that have been in use for many decades. The extensive range of clinker bricks means that they can be used in almost any colour scheme and type of architecture, without any restrictions.

Not only aesthetics, but also exceptional durability speak for the choice of clinker for a façade. These bricks age slowly and stately, which translates into minimal maintenance costs. Over the years, they retain their colours, are resistant to frost and fire, and their durability guarantees effective protection of the building against adverse weather conditions. The wide assortment of clinker bricks allows them to be used in a variety of architectural styles, customising the colours to suit individual needs.
